Whisperfeeder - LA

The patented Whisper Feeder (Model LA) uses two extruded channels with two rows of precision punched holes that are placed one inside the other. Normally the holes are closed. During feeding, an air cylinder pulls the inner channel allowing the holes to align and feed to drop. The feed is then distributed by a spreader, which hangs below the channels. The spreader divides the feed by allowing half to drop through the holes on the spreader face and the other half to drop off the edge. A simple adjustment allows the feed opening in the channels to be reduced from one full hole size down to the smallest portion of the hole size that the eye can distinguish. Pneumatic operation allows the feeding process to be extremely quiet with little or no disturbance to the fish.

Operating Instructions

Whisperfeeder - LE

The Whisperfeeder - LE is similar to the model LA but it operates without pneumatics. The concept is nearly identical to the Louden style feeders that existed as a mainstay in the industry for many years. The LE has a few disadvantages, it is not “whisper” quiet during operation as is the LA and it doesn’t posses the pulling power that the model LA exudes.
